| Outstanding Chapter Award (OCA) |
|
| The IAPPM Outstanding Chapter Award (OCA) is an honor presented once a year to a Chapter and Student Chapter that have provided their membership with the best overall set of programs and activities. |

|
| The award allows large and small Chapters to compete on an equal basis. If you think your Chapter or Student Branch, or one in your area, has had a successful year, please submit a nomination entry article. |
|
 Challenge to Action |
|
|
The first step toward winning the Outstanding Chapters Award is to have a dedicated Chapter President and officers. These award guidelines can help your Chapter build its service to local members. Since this award is a competition among IAPPM Chapters, your entry should focus on any highlights or successes of your chapter and members. |
|
| The Award |
|
|
The winning Chapter and Student Branch Chapter will receive a framed certificate recognizing their achievement as well as a signed copy of a leading project management book . Second and Third place Chapters will receive a framed certificate. Additionally, the article provided by the winning Chapter will be published in the annual IAPPM magazine. |
|
| Entrance Requirements |
|
|
A Chapter officer must submit two (2) copies of an entry article nominating the chapter for the award. The article should be suitable for publishing in the IAPPM magazine and should contain a summary of the chapter's exemplary service to its members. |
|
|
Submit two (2) copies of a brief but detailed report (and any supporting documents) of your Chapter's activity in the following areas: |
|
|
|
Service to members in the Technical Activities (technical meetings, tutorials, education, etc.); |
|
|
Service to members in the Association activities (non-technical volunteer activity such as Public Affairs, Section Activities, or work with the local membership); |
|
|
|
Membership Advancement (Fellow nominations and awards, etc.); and |
|
|
Enlistment of New IAPPM Members in the chapter. |
